Exceeded the login limit for a 15 minute period. Reduce the frequency of requests to the POP3 server

Exceeded the login limit for a 15 minute period. Reduce the frequency of requests to the POP3 server is a common error on email client programs such as outlook and other applications, This is a common issue on mobile devices as well that has the capability of sending and receiving emails, a very good example is Blackberry, HTC, iPhone and many more.

This is very common on Hotmail because they do not allow less than 15 minutes for the the client to refresh or update when you’ve attempted to login with incorrect details. Or your just frequently refreshing your mailbox within seconds or so. This flags the server and can cause slowness .

To fix this issue make sure that your credentials are properly set on the email client and if you think they are the correct ones then call your email provider’s support and ask them that it could be possible that the account got corrupted and you may need to recreate it.

Another solution is to increase the frequency of request from the server or on your email client. How? ask your provider’s technical support and they sure can assist you with it.
