Hello again, I was playing with my sisters Nokia N80 Mobile Phone and noticed it has a Wireless LAN in which I can use to connect on our NETGEAR wireless router.

I wanted our router to be secured to avoid getting unwanted and unauthorized connections like our neighbors etc. so I decided to set up access list.

If you do not know what an access list is. It is a security feature where a devices MAC Address needs to be encoded on the router and it will not be able to connect when this is not done even if the user knows the wireless password.


I’ve tried to check all settings via the phone’s interface but to no avail, It’s not me going through manuals when it comes to gadgets as it would take sometime before you can get what you want. So what I did wads google. Yes google how to do it but there’s just a little information so I decided to write an article about this.

Well I think that’s too much about the story let’s get to the point.

To get the MAC Address of NOKIA mobile Phone with a wireless capability type the following code while on the main screen or menu of the device:
