This is a guide how to use discount coupon codes when buying a domain from Godaddy. I just learned that you can actually get rebates when registering a domain. With the original price of $10.69*/yr you can get as much as 30% off using coupons. Imagine a .com domain type for $10.69 a year becomes $7.49. That’s a huge less isn’t it?
But as you go and register your preferred domain that’s where you scratch your head and ask daddy where to put the code. Well that’s the purpose of this article so let’s go.
Step 1. Log in to your account (create one if you haven’t done so).
2. I am assuming you already have in mind your preferred address or domain.
3. Enter it on the search box just like below (this is to check if it is already registered and owned by someone else)

4. Assuming what you chose is unique and not yet registered a similar page should come up:

5: Click Add.
6: A small pop up window will appear which is unnecessary so just close it.
7. Click Continue to Registration.
8. Some annoying pop up again so just click on No Thanks at the bottom.
9. Set the number of years you want the domain to be active. (Registration Length)
10. Click Activate your Domain at the bottom.
11. Checkout.
12. Voila this is where you put the coupon code:

13. Click Apply.
14. You should know what to do next!!!
UPDATE: 7/27/2011
Godaddy changed the way their site looks like below is the location where you should put the coupon code.
